I lay myself onto the warm soft sand gently the small waves lap against my relaxed paws I nudge the ground with my nose and then taste salt water for the first time The sun is shining off of the bay, the water glistening, bringing me peace of mind. The world has stopped. Everything is beautiful. This place is perfect, calming my soul, making me believe that I am surrounded by true beauty. Oh the sweet San Francisco Bay, nothing compares to your natural beauty. Sitting here, on the waters edge, I am one with the land. ONE with this world. -Blue

Hello! My name is Blue. I am a 2 1/2 year old Australian Shephard / Border Collie Mix from Vacaville, Ca. For the first part of my life I was a country dog, living on a big plot of land with my original owners and their two toddler boys. I had my first playmate there, a 12 year old Pitbull mix who helped shape me. Unfortunately, my owners had to move, and that meant giving me away to a family who they knew would love me. They posted an ad on Craigslist which was answered in like 15 minutes by a girl named Angela and her mom, Maria. They were in search for a nice young dog. After a nice long conversation with my original mommy, plans were made to meet me in a few days.  Two days later, I met my new family. Angela & Maria came to get me and I was instantly comfortable with them. They brought me home, and after quality time I decided that they were pretty darn cool. Heck, even their dad, Karl, likes me…even though he doesn’t always like to admit it. Jimmy, the youngest one, he’s a little rambunctious, but I think after driving him crazy for awhile I’ll actually let him take me out on a walk. My new family loves me. Hell! If it wasn’t for them, I probably would have never seen the ocean <3
